AT FIRST SIP-Charcoal cherry, dried juniper, redcurrant and fresh cut beetroot. Gossamer like nutmeg and pepper drift over the earthy/red berried perfume. The palate is has a well defined core of blueberry, plum and earth. Tannins are fine and the edges are delicate however, great contrast between spice and concentration.

About This Wine
Francois and Isabelle Lumpp own this amazing 9 hectare domaine in Givry. Givry, being in Burgundy's Cote Chalonnaise region, is usually known for its white wine production however don’t overlook the red wines as there is exceptional value to be found.
This Pinot Noir is 100% destemmed (so uses the whole berry only) and yet is matured in 70% new oak. This leads to a pretty, notable purity and richness. These are exceptional value wines, we seem to wnjoy every wine we’ve tried from Francois Lumpp.
