About This Wine
A nod to the La Morra style more than Monforte, that’s fruit and delicacy rather than power for anyone not deep in the Barolo worm hole. The Nebbiolo was 20% whole bunched pressed into second and third use French barriques for a total 18 month rest. Wild yeasts and no additions other than a smidge of sulphur at bottling. Man of many talents, winemaker Duane Coates gives a nod to old world styles in a pragmatic and transparent manner. Creating varietally driven, wines that are true to the Australian terroir."
