About This Wine
The Riserva Novantesimo features a Label from 1964, celebrating 90 years for Paolo Scvavino. This wine is a selection of top Nebbiolo from 7 of the estates sites (Cannubi, Monvigliero, Fiasco, Vignane, San Bernardo, Bricco Ambrogio, and Rocche dell’Annunziata). Aging took place in 350-liter tonneau for the first year, followed by oak cask for the second and third year before being bottled with this commemorative label.
Paolo Scavino is a now historical family run estate based in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo. The 29 hectare estate is run by Enrico Scavino and his daughters Elisa and Enrica. They work in the 20 crus of Barolo and as a family seem to have a neverending drive to express the very best of Barolo. They invest heavily in their winery and believe in a balanced, hands off approach in the vineyard.
