About This Wine

This Syrah Pet Nat sources fruit from a vineyard in Silvan, North Yarra and was picked for sparkling ripeness on 8th April. Left to ferment naturally for 10 weeks and bottled at the optimum time for pet nat (just before the ferment was complete). Bottled undisgorged with some sediment so we advise opening this slowly and have a glass ready to catch the excitable bubbles!

Grown on Stu's own unirrigated, organic Syrah vineyard in Silvan, this Pét Nat was left to ferment for 11 weeks before finishing in bottle. Once fermentation was completed and the bubbles created inside the bottle, they were left to rest on lees for 14 weeks before being disgorged. A little sediment remains.
Winemaker Stuart Dudine has a pretty hefty crush on Rhone varieties. After the success of the 2019 ‘Whole Bunched’ Marsanne, this Pét Nat joins the 'no adds' trio. Awesome fruit, careful winemaking and no additions whatsoever make a naked, lively drop.
