In more recent history, ownership changed hands to the experienced owners behind Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande a highly esteemed second growth. Though a Cru Bourgeois, Chateau Bernadotte often surpasses its class and sits comfortably beside second growths. The chateau sits adjacent to the Pauillac appellation.
