About This Wine

"Marc Brédif is owned and operated by the Baron de Ladoucette. The key to any de Ladoucette wine is quality in the vineyard, the winery and the bottle. The Baron de Ladoucette is dedicated to maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout his portfolio. The wines are made in the state-of-the art winery within the landmark Château du Nozet and are considered to be some of the finest examples of their type. Grown on the lower slopes along the Loire Valley in Vouvray and Vernou-sur-Brenne, the grapes for the Marc Brédif Vouvray enjoy northern/southern exposure. The vineyards have soils of mainly chalk clay, with some parcels having flint clay soils. The vineyards are 25-30 years old on average. The "Classic" on this label differentiates Marc Brédif's traditional Vouvray from the rest of the winery's offerings."-Marc Bredif

Marc Bredif is a domaine synonymous with Chenin Blanc and longevity. As one of the famed, classic names of the Loire Valley they are behind some of the most long lived Chenin Blancs through their range of Vouvray Classic (off-dry) , Vouvray Grande Année (longest lived and range between 30-70g residual sugar) and The Vouvray Collection (noble rot wines often with over 60g residual sugar).

The Marc Bredif Domaine was established under the name Chateau les Roches in 1893 and became named as we know it today in 1919. often seen as a benchmark for classic, off dry styles of Chenin Blanc in Vouvray. Their Classic range is often delicious and nervy when young before unleashing complex tertiary characters that delight aged wine lovers.
