Marc Bredif Vouvray Classic 2012

AT FIRST SIP- Ripe pear, citrus zest, apple skins, silky bees wax, crystallised ginger and citrus blossom, with a hint of minerality. Acidity is lively and creates a crescendo of citrus and red apple to the palate. That ever so seductive 'Chenin' body, all slippery and crunchy stone fruit. It appears drier and more youthful than you'd think. AFTER A FEW-Like J.Lo, you'd think this was a Gen Z.

As one of the famed, classic names of the Loire Valley they are behind some of the most long lived Chenin Blancs through their range of Vouvray Classic (off-dry) , Vouvray Grande Année (longest lived and range between 30-70g residual sugar) and The Vouvray Collection (noble rot wines often with over 60g residual sugar).

The Marc Bredif Domaine was established under the name Chateau les Roches in 1893 and became named as we know it today in 1919. often seen as a benchmark for classic, off dry styles of Chenin Blanc in Vouvray. Their Classic range is often delicious and nervy when young before unleashing complex tertiary characters that delight aged wine lovers.
