About This Wine
Try the Sauvignon Blanc from Greywacke with a wild flair. This version of their Sauvignon Blanc undergoes an entirely 'wild' fermentation and spends 8 months in old oak, on lees. The archive release is a testament to how Sauvignon Blanc can truly age.
Greywacke (pron. Greywacky) is the Marlborough label of Kevin Judd. The Marlborough wine region has enjoyed worldwide fame through its now classic style of Sauvignon Blanc. A reputation that was built in large part thanks to Kevin, as the winemaker for Cloudy Bay for the brands formative years. Greywacke was born out of a simple urge to focus on the wine and the region. Greywacke now represents arguably one of the most impressive and expressive pair of Sauvignon Blancs for Marlborough as well as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris. Two words connect Kevins wines; aromatics and texture.
