About This Wine

This Chardonnay was sourced entirely from Medhurst vineyards in the Yarra Valley. This was all hand picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak (10% new). Wild yeasts were used and Malolactic fermentation happened for a third of the barrels. The wine spent 8 months in oak and bottled with minimal filtration.

Medhurst is an estate in the Yarra Valley that focuses on small batch wines and championing individual parcels throughout their vineyards. The appointment of winemaker Simon Steele in 2015 has garnered Medhurst well deserved critical acclaim as he marries this considerable experience and flair with the Medhurst style.
