About This Wine
This wine is 100% Sangiovese from Montefili's single vineyard 'Vigna Vecchia'. it spends 26 months in small format oak before a further 8 months in bottle ahead of release.
Vecchie Terre di Montefili is a passionate expression of the organic, Tuscan district of Panzano. Within the Chianti Classico DOCG this historic estate has been revived and have emerged with a double take beauty. As with the best of the region, potency, suppleness and elegance are key take aways. Winemaker Serena Gusmeri seeks for ‘grapes to be truly representative of each harvest, no rearrangement or correction’. She is a talented winemaker who began her journey with Montefili in 2015 to critical acclaim.
