About This Wine

North Canterbury and more specifically the Waipara region now famed in wine circles boasts the largest amount active limestone in New Zealand. This is exciting for wine nerds, trust us. The oldest vines on this gently sloped property have been harvested by hand, allowed to ferment with wild yeast, plunged by foot, rested in French oak for 18 months and left to be free and wild (unfined unfiltered). This is no easy going pinot, it’s a contemplative, gratifying drop.
