About This Wine
This wine is 100% Carignan form a vineyard in Northern Barossa. Fermented with all whole bunches in large vats and pressed to French oak hogsheads (larger barrels) for 14 months. Bottled by hand after a dash of sulfur.
Sigurd is both winemaker Daniel Graham’s middle name as well as his grandfathers name. After working for a large company in Barossa, Daniel began his own label in 2012. Sigurd represent wines that Daniel enjoys drinking himself. Utilising fruit mostly in Barossa however venturing all over South Australia. The wines are minimal intervention, using native yeasts, no fining and no additions other than a little sulfur before bottling. All his wines share an immense drinkability and an understated fluidity to them.
