About This Wine
This Etna Rosso is made up of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. Hand harvested off the sides of the stunning Mt Etna in Sicily, into small crates. The grapes were quickly brought into the winery where they were manually selected. Destemmed (though not crushed completely) and left to macerate for a fortnight before being pressed. Maturation took place over 6 months in large oak barrels.
The Tornatore family have been experiencing and progressing with every iteration of viticulture on the northern side of Mt Etna, Sicily's standout feature since 1865. Their Etna Rosso offers a delectable introduction to the local grapes and unique terroir of the Volcano their vines call home.
