Grapefruit oil, apple blossom and feijoa aromas. There's a salty green mango lick on the palate before unleashing juicy yellow stone fruit. The medium-bodied palate is kept in check by brisk, tingly acidity.
This wine comes from the Sondraie vineyard of the Poggio Al Tesoro estate. This west-facing vineyard is rooted on deep sand, gravel and clay, and is surprisingly cool-climate. The 2020 vintage was especially cool, with a couple of nights dropping below zero as harvest loomed. Harvested at night before a gentle pressing of whole grapes. Fermented in stainless steel and aged on fine lees with some bottle ageing before release.
