Tim Hodgkinson & Kate Akmentins have planted a stunning vineyard in the small area known as Tea Tree in the Coal River Valley of Tasmania. Dedicated to Biodynamics and sustainability they manage their vineyard with incredible dedication. This vineyard is currently reaching maturity and so their closest neighbor has been kind enough to allow access to a small parcel of their fruit each year. Farmed organically and made in a very hands off fashion this is a truly beautiful expression of Tasmania.

A wine made to reflect the site and vintage it is a silk glove with drive and focus carried through beautiful red fruit and burgundy-esque structure that will reward cellaring but is beautifully inviting now.
Sourced predominately from 20-year-old vines grown on gravelly, volcanic-derived soils in the Tea Tree area of Coal River Valley.
Hand-picked and de-stemmed, with 20% whole bunches. Cold soaked for six days and wild yeast fermented with gentle hand plunging. Basket pressed to older oak barriques for MLF and 11 months' maturation on fine lees, before being gravity racked to tank for four months.
Unfined and unfiltered; minimal S02.
Cranberry, strawberry and raspberry aromas with layers of spice and herbs. The palate is vibrant and luscious with rhubarb, red fruits, spice and sour cherry notes tempered by bright acidity and super fine tannins.
