About This Wine
Based in the Adelaide Hills Main & Cherry has turned heads in recent years with winemaker Michael Sexton's small batch and distinctive wines. He favours Indian Runner ducks over pesticides, works gently by hand and prefers a shovel and small basket-press instead of high-tech machines. He also sources fruit from McLaren Vale, due to a love of the region he acquired during his years studying and making wines there.

Having grown up in the Adelaide Hills where his parents planted the original Main & Cherry vineyard in 1996 and Mike acquiring his own home vineyard in McLaren Vale, he knows the vineyard wealth of this region very well.
Mike likes to keep things in harmony so instead of using pesticides in the vineyard, he employs a gang of Indian Runner ducks to keep pests in check. In the winery, he works gently by hand, favouring a small basket press over any high tech equipment.
