AA Badenhorst Family Wines are grown on Kalmoesfontein Farm in Swartland, South Africa.
Their old bushvines were planted in the 1950’s and 1960’s and remain unirrigated, soaking up their granite, clay and shale soils. Their North, East and South slopes of their vineyard offer serious variety to each wine.
Winemaker Adi prefers to use only whole bunches in fermentation and there are no additions other than a little sulphur. Old casks and concrete tanks are preferred for maturation.
