Winemaker Ben Riggs sought to make the juiciest, smoothest style cabernet sauvignon he could to pay homage to Ricky Ponting's wine of choice at the close of play after his cricket matches.
The grapes were destemmed and went into small open top fermenters. The wine was aged predominantly in 30% new French oak with a small proportion also being aged in American oak.
