Elderflower, kaffir lime, gold peach, honeydew melon, and fresh passionfruit. Wonderfully aromatic, ripe and textural thanks to lees contact. Succulent finish. If you had to have just one Marlborough sauvignon blanc... this would be it.
The grapes for this wine were sourced from Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and the central Wairau Plains. These vineyards have varied alluvial soils with a high proportion of New Zealand’s greywacke river stones. The grapes were lightly pressed to yield modest volume, high quality juice. Before fermentation, the juice is cold settled and racked before being transferred to stainless steel. A portion of juice went to old oak barrels for a wild yeast fermentation. The seperate vineyard proportions were all kept on lees before blending and bottling.
