Greywacke (pron. Greywacky) is the Marlborough based label of Kevin Judd and named after the predominant bedrock of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
The Marlborough wine region has enjoyed worldwide fame for its now classic style of Sauvignon Blanc. A reputation that was built in large part thanks to Kevin, as the winemaker for Cloudy Bay for the first 25 years.
Greywacke was born out of a simple urge to focus on the wine and the region. Greywacke now represents arguably one of the most impressive and expressive pair of Sauvignon Blancs for Marlborough as well as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris.
Two words connect Kevins wines; aromatics and texture.
