About This Wine
Single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from 33-year-old vines. The hand-picked fruit was destemmed and optically sorted in the winery, but not crushed (whole-berries). After cold-soaking, fermentation and a little extended maceration (20 days on skins in total), the must was pressed off to second-fill French oak barriques, for three months élevage prior to bottling in August 2022.

Fetherston, as a relative newcomer to the Australian wine scene, is named after winemaker Chris Lawrence's grandfather, Tony.
Tony Fetherston was an inspiring horticulturalist and the obsession with and love of plants has carried through the generations.
After gaining experience as as a chef, becoming valedictorian of his Oenology degree and stints at Yering Station and Domaine Serene in Willamette Valley, he partnered up with Camille Koll to begin Fetherston.
