Naked Run's ‘The First’ Riesling was – as the name suggests – the first wine produced under the Naked Run label. The result of a relatively cool growing period followed by a cooler than usual vintage, this wine showcases supreme balance and all the hallmark floral and lemon/lime characters typical of this Clare Valley site, which sits at 475 metres above sea level. The palate is full-flavoured and backed by a long thread of steely, talc-like acidity. Enjoy now or put away for another decade or so.

Naked Run is the collaborative project between winemaker Steve Baraglia, viticulturist Brad Currie and wine marketer Jayme Wood. Focusing on a small handful of top-notch sites in the Barossa and Clare Valleys, Naked Run wines exemplify the notion of provenance, with pristine fruit beautifully conveying a snapshot of both site and vintage in each bottle.
