$319.00 $175.00

A six-pack of one of the Adelaide Hills' finest shiraz in recent years, with a FREE mystery magnum from Corduroy!

Region: Adelaide Hills, South Australia
Varieties: 100% shiraz
Winemaker: Phil LeMessurier

A super fine example of Adelaide Hills shiraz, Corduroy's 2017 The Wale sings praises of the earthy, medium-bodied expressions typical of the Rhône Valley without forsaking the classic lush black fruits and velvety tannins of the cool climes of the Adelaide Hills. There's boysenberry and blackberry flavours with an umami, Roma tomato-esque note, a dusting of white pepper, and fine, lacy acidity. It's in a fantastic place in its evolution right now, but will cellar beautifully for another five or six years in the right conditions.

And the bonus magnum? Who doesn't love a big bottle! With every six pack of The Wale purchased, we'll throw in a magnum of red wine from Corduroy too!

Corduroy is the mastermind and vision of Phil LeMessurier.  Phil began Corduroy in 2009 as a side project and it has since evolved into a boutique and highly
respected brand that showcases the best that the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley have to offer.

Corduroy’s name originated from ‘corduroy lines’, a series of long formed waves moving purposefully from the horizon to the shore – a pure gift of mother nature. It’s this natural process that sparked Phil’s love affair with what nature provides and how we utilise it.

Fruit is sourced from vineyards across the Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills which are continually moving towards increasing their biodiversity and the conservation of the natural ecosystems with a goal to maintain and promote soil health and natural pest control, including Morialta Park in the Adelaide Hills who has a strong plan for conversion to biodynamic farming in the coming vintages.
