About This Wine
From Mike at Main & Cherry: 'Grown at Forreston and Macclesfield from the 2021 vintage, where warm days were tempered with cooler nights, allowing for fantastic acidity retention. One parcel was destemmed and cold soaked on skins for 48 hours, while the other parcel was fermented on skins for seven days.'

Main & Cherry has turned heads in recent years with winemaker Michael Sexton's small batch, distinctive wines.
Having grown up in the Adelaide Hills where his parents planted the original Main & Cherry vineyard in 1996 and Mike acquiring his own home vineyard in McLaren Vale, he knows the vineyard wealth of this region very well.
Mike likes to keep things in harmony so instead of using pesticides in the vineyard, he employs a gang of Indian Runner ducks to keep pests in check. In the winery, he works gently by hand, favouring a small basket press over any high tech equipment.
