Sourced from the Tamar Valley in northern Tasmania, winemaker Ben Riggs knew he would have to find some stellar vineyards to satisfy Ricky Ponting's love for Tassie wines and Tamar Valley, near where he grew up. This pinot noir was sourced from a cool, south-facing vineyard, influenced by the Southern Ocean.
Fermented in open top vessels with a small proportion of whole bunches to give further structure. The wine then spent 10 months in oak, a small proportion being new.
