Main & Cherry Iberica Grenache Blend 2021
AT FIRST SIP-Slippery raspberry and fresh blackcurrant exude a fiesta vibe from this wine. These expressive fruits are complimented by oregano and faint rosemary. So very medium bodied with fresh cherry like acidity and easy going tannins. AFTER A FEW-For people who love Pinot but want more oomph.

About This Wine
Hand picked from old vines in Blewitt Springs as well as Main & Cherry's own vineyard above Clarendon. Both parcels were fermented gently using hand plunging and basket pressing. No Sulphur dioxide was added in this wine.
Iberica is a blend of Grenache, Tempranillo and Monastrell. Each of these grapes was selected early in the season, for their ability to hold up well to having no additions of sulphur.

Main & Cherry has turned heads in recent years with winemaker Michael Sexton's small batch, distinctive wines.
Having grown up in the Adelaide Hills where his parents planted the original Main & Cherry vineyard in 1996 and Mike acquiring his own home vineyard in McLaren Vale, he knows the vineyard wealth of this region very well.
Mike likes to keep things in harmony so instead of using pesticides in the vineyard, he employs a gang of Indian Runner ducks to keep pests in check. In the winery, he works gently by hand, favouring a small basket press over any high tech equipment.
